Tribute to Jeff Dittmar-04/11/02

Jeff at the age of 27, on 04/11/02 at approximately 08:30 A.M. died doing what he loved.  Jeff was a journeyman that was obsessed with line work.  He started with line school in Alpena MI.  He started his apprenticeship at the age of 19 in Elkhart, IN.  Working for American Electric Power.  When he first started he was young and ambitious.  Jeff wanted to be a true lineman, and that's what he lived every day for.  He was involved in the lineman's rodeo and I believe that many of you may have known Jeff.  If you did, you know how much fun he was to be around and how knowledgeable he was.  I have eight years of memories to remember Jeff by, and I can't think of one that was bad.  His sense of humor kept you laughing, his big heart would never leave you in need, and you could always rely on Jeff to be there when there was trouble or work to be done.

I'm not good with words and I know I can't say enough.  I loved Jeff like my own son and as one of my best friends I've ever had.  I know I'm speaking for everybody that ever knew Jeff.  Please pray for Jeff's family, especially his wife Jessica.
