This story takes place a few years ago. The serviceman it happened
to has since retired. He had a no power call out in the farmland. He
went about his work for this call and had to climb the pole to finish it
up. He still had his climbing gear on and was talking to the customer
next to their truck. I guess they were talking about the call and what
had happened. He stood just a little too close to the hitch on this truck.
They finished talking and customer got in their truck and took
off. This serviceman didn't notice that his climbing belt strap had
wrapped around the ball of the hitch. So when the customer took
off, he took off with the truck. The customer drove a good distance
until he noticed this guy being dragged. Needless to say, I think he
was a lot more careful around customers from then on.
